Quick start
Create your first dashboard, connect data, and share it — in under five minutes.
This guide takes you from a fresh account to a published dashboard, all in the web app. No setup needed — but if you'd also like to use widgets.pro on your phone, TV, or via the browser extension, see Installation.
1. Sign up
Go to widgets.pro and create an account with your email, or click Continue with Google.
2. Create a dashboard
From the home screen, click New dashboard. Give it a name (you can change it later) and pick a layout — start blank or clone a template.
3. Add a widget
Click the + button in the toolbar to open the widget picker. Pick a widget — for example, Number to display a single metric, or Chart for time-series data.
The widget appears on the canvas. Click it to open the configuration panel, where you set its title, choose a data source, and tweak appearance.
4. Connect data
Most widgets need data to render. Open the data source picker inside the widget config and either:
- Pick an existing source — including any of the built-in integrations (GitHub, Linear, Plausible, Stripe).
- Create a new source — REST endpoint, GraphQL query, PostgreSQL connection, Google Sheet, RSS feed, CSV upload, or manual entry.
See Data sources for the full list and configuration options.
5. Arrange the layout
Drag widgets to reposition them. Drag the bottom-right corner to resize. The grid adapts to the device:
| Device | Columns |
|---|---|
| Desktop | 12 |
| Tablet | 8 |
| Mobile | 2 |
| TV | 16 |
6. Share it
Open dashboard settings and either:
- Toggle Public sharing to get a link anyone can open.
- Invite specific people with Invite by email — they'll get an email and need an account to view.
- Embed in your site with the iframe snippet.
